The coronavirus pandemic continues to spread rapidly in many countries. The number of deaths confirmed worldwide has now exceeded 600,000 for the first time, according to US researchers. The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported more than 200,000 confirmed new infections with the corona virus for days.

The USA, Brazil, Mexico, India and South Africa, among others, have recently been particularly affected by the pandemic. In Britain, the government, scientists and health authorities are now pushing the buck for the shockingly high number of deaths.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, there are now more than 14.3 million confirmed infections with the SARS-CoV-2 pathogen. Only three weeks ago the threshold of half a million deaths and ten million confirmed infections had been exceeded. About a quarter of all infections and deaths confirmed worldwide are in the United States. Brazil ranks second with 2.1 million known infections and around 79,000 deaths.
